Welcome to BookBeat!
Ever wondered who makes the pages turn at BookBeat?
At just over six years old, BookBeat is made up of a team of 150 curious, driven and engaged doers who all are dedicated to delivering the best app possible for digital books.
We're an international bunch of people, with team members hailing from the chilliest corners of Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway to the October loving cities of Germany, the pierogi eating towns of Poland, the tulips covered fields of Netherlands, the spaghetti obsessed cities of Italy and the wine loving towns of France. We have offices in Berlin, Helsinki, Warszawa, Karlstad and Oslo, but most of the magic happens in our HQ in Stockholm.
We drive BookBeat forward by aiming to be great at what we do, sharing what we know with our teammates, having a curiosity for our users and our organization, and most importantly by building team BookBeat with amazing talent.
Could you be our next recruit? Let us know by connecting with us!
At BookBeat you will experience...
-
An office located in the heart of Stockholm
If you join the team in Stockholm, you can enjoy free access to a full gym complete with a sauna, or borrow a bicycle from reception to speed off to your next meeting.
-
Growth in your role and career
Have the opportunity to grow in your role and career. We believe in giving all of our employees the tools they need so that they can be great at what they do. This includes challenging and educational work assignments as well as opportunities for education.
-
Friday afternoon mingles and breakfast
Enjoy our Friday afternoon mingles (or as we call it Beer O'Clock) and monthly company breakfasts. We see the importance of having a strong team and we organize fun events to make sure we all stay connected.
-
Work events
Enjoy very fun (we may be biased) work events. From Christmas parties with our colleagues at Bonnierförlagen to Road Map days ending in a company trip to the spa, we host and participate in all different kinds of fun activities.
-
Hack Days
Hack Days are a full day dedicated to exploring projects that you might not have time to do in your day to day work. In the past people have done everything from creating an app to be used for marketing campaigns to exploring how to integrate voice and machine learning into our existing product.
-
Friday Demo
Every Friday we hold a cross company demo where you have the opportunity to share what you've been working on that week. We believe in cross-functional work and having a weekly demo facilitates this by giving you the opportunity to brag a bit about your hard work and your latest accomplishments.

About BookBeat
In 2015 Bonnier Books, one of Europe’s leading publishing companies, gathered a team of digital innovators and literature lovers to create a market leading service for digital books. Spurred on by our curiosity and a profound commitment to our users, books and new technology we created BookBeat and worked towards a broad launch of our app to the public in 2016.
BookBeat is a digital subscription service that allows you to stream audiobooks and read e-books on your mobile or tablet. Much like other streaming subscriptions, with BookBeat you choose the subscription option that suits you the best and pay a monthly fee for it (we offer three different subscription packages: basic, standard & premium).
Backed by Bonnier, a company with more than one hundred years’ worth of experience with creating, refining and distributing great stories, we have set out to create the best possible service for digital books. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for everyone to find and experience great stories. So whether you want to contribute by becoming a part of our team, or just want an easy way to enjoy a great book – we invite you to join us!
