The first pages of BookBeat

BookBeat’s journey began in 2015, when Bonnier Books brought together a team of digital innovators and book lovers who wanted to make it easier for more people to discover and enjoy great books.

With Bonnier Books’ nearly 200-year legacy of creating and sharing books behind us, we set out to build a digital subscription service where readers and listeners could explore audiobooks and e-books anytime, anywhere. One year later, in 2016, the BookBeat app was launched.

Since then, our journey has taken us across Europe. Today, more than one million people use BookBeat as part of their everyday lives.

We’ve grown a lot since those first pages were written, but our mission remains the same: to build the best possible app for reading and listening.
