Payment & Partner Integration Specialist
Are you a driven, communicative and problem-solving doer with experience in payment solutions and project management? Then come join us and improve the user experience for both new and current users!
Since our first launch in 2016 we have made millions of people in our different core markets curious enough to try BookBeat and spend 600 million hours listening and reading the books in our app. Of the ones that have tried our service, over 700 000 users have made us a natural part of their everyday life and pay for our service every month. But this is just the beginning of our journey! To take the next step and improve the user experience for both new and current users we are now adding a super talent to our Conversion team. Could you be our next colleague?
The Conversion team works with developing BookBeat's user acquisition platforms, user offers, retention, payment solutions, user account handling and customer support platforms. The main stakeholders for Team Conversion are the Marketing & Sales as well as the Expansion teams, but our conversion experts also work cross functionally with many other teams at BookBeat – for instance the app, as we strive for a frictionless experience between the different platforms.
Your primary focus in this role will be on our different payment solutions, both when it comes to direct payments from end users but also third party payment solutions through different partners. If you have over 3 years of experience of working with payment solutions in e.g. an e-commerce company or subscription service that would set you out as our ideal candidate!
You will report to our Head of Expansion & Business Development and primarily work together with the Conversion team, but also close to our development teams as well as our Growth Data Science & Analytics team. The total team at BookBeat has grown to 150 members, and you will work together with 140 of them at our main office at Sveavägen 56 in Stockholm. Your future main stakeholders as well as all of our development teams are also located here.
The role includes, among other things, to:
- be responsible for all payment flows and recurring payments
- be responsible for new and existing partner integrations
- monitor and understand fraud and chargeback performance on a daily basis
- assist our Finance team and Customer Service team as well as other team members with queries related to everything concerning payments
- research, evaluate and challenge what we should develop within our payment solutions with different stakeholders
- work closely with our development teams to make sure that we can turn user stories into launched features
- work closely with our data analysts and data scientists to decide what we should focus on and get results of everything we build
We are looking for someone who:
- can plan, coordinate and lead projects against deadlines
- has a high understanding of the complexities and possibilities in a technical development project
- thrives in an agile and fast-moving environment that is shaped by both external and internal circumstances – and is a driving force in pushing through change
- chops in where needed and does not hesitate to tackle difficult problems! On the contrary, you’re motivated by solving problems and not letting things fall through the cracks
- is fluent in English and Swedish in both speech and writing
- is a driven and energetic person who can lead and complete projects successfully
We believe that you:
- have at least three years’ experience from a similar role within B2C
- have a relevant university education

About us
In 2015, we began our journey towards the goal of offering Europe’s leading service for digital books and in 2016, we launched to the public. Now, about 7 years since our broad launch, BookBeat is used by over 700 000 users every month. We are an ever-growing company within the Bonnier Group and all members who join our journey have the possibility to make an impact on our development – both in the short and long run.
Today, Team BookBeat consists of 150 curious and committed doers. Are you interested in becoming part of our team? Wonderful! While our employees are experts at many different areas, we have four core values uniting all of us:
🚀 Be great at what you do
📣 Share what you know
🔎 Curiosity for our users and us
🤝 Build Team BookBeat
In other words: we want our employees to continuously deep dive into and develop within their area(s) of expertise, but also to share that knowledge with their colleagues – we’re all in this together and cooperate (most often a lot) on a daily basis! We’re also looking for employees who are genuinely curious about our users, journey and organization, a curiosity that drives us to always test out new things in our service and to let our users show us if we’re on the right track. Last but definitely not least we want all our employees to contribute to the everyday cooperations and the wellbeing of Team BookBeat – as already mentioned, we’re in this together and we want our team to be healthy and happy at work, and we all contribute to this in different ways.

About BookBeat
In 2015 Bonnier Books, one of Europe’s leading publishing companies, gathered a team of digital innovators and literature lovers to create a market leading service for digital books. Spurred on by our curiosity and a profound commitment to our users, books and new technology we created BookBeat and worked towards a broad launch of our app to the public in 2016.
BookBeat is a digital subscription service that allows you to stream audiobooks and read e-books on your mobile or tablet. Much like other streaming subscriptions, with BookBeat you pay a monthly fee and can stream as many audiobooks as you’d like or listen for a limited number of hours for an even better price – whichever suits you best!
Backed by Bonnier, a company with more than one hundred years’ worth of experience with creating, refining and distributing great stories, we have set out to create the best possible service for digital books. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for everyone to find and experience great stories. So whether you want to contribute by becoming a part of our team, or just want an easy way to enjoy a great book – we invite you to join us!
