BookBeat is one of Europe's leading audio and e-book streaming services. As of fall 2020, we have started to invest in producing our own content that our users simply cannot stop reading and listening to! As a next step of this exciting journey, we're looking for our next star to join the team and our office in Stockholm.

In the role of Rights and Production Coordinator, you will be coordinating our digital book production chain: working closely with external translators, editors and studios as well as setting up and following production plans in all or several of our core markets (Sweden, Finland, Germany, Denmark and Poland).

Since we work with a lot of various projects at the same time, being structured, efficient and good at multitasking is a prerequisite for this role. In addition, you should have great people skills, as you will nurture and work with a large number of contacts. Furthermore, you are likely a doer with problem-solving abilities, and you are able to see the big picture as well as the small details.

Your work assignments:

  • coordinating the audiobook and e-book production chain in all or several of our core markets (Sweden, Finland, Germany, Poland, Denmark)
  • maintaining and monitoring production plans and project schedules as well as ensuring that those productions are carried through to completion
  • finding and booking suitable freelance translators and editors as well as graphic designers for the cover artwork
  • working closely with the various studios and narrators
  • collaborating with the Content team to make sure that our own productions are presented effectively in the BookBeat app

As a person, you are well-organized and driven with a true “can do” approach. We want the person joining our friendly team to be as collaboration oriented as the rest of us, and we assume that you have no problem with giving a hand where it is needed.

Experience, skills and interests required:

  • 1-2 years of demonstrable work experience in project coordination roles, either in the publishing industry or another industry
  • a structured and efficient way of coordinating various projects simultaneously
  • excellent language skills in Polish and English as you will be working with a number of markets
  • strong social and communication skills
  • a proactive and a service-oriented approach
  • a passion for books and audiobooks

You will be part of Team Content and will work closely with our Head of Rights and Production. For the right person, this is a brilliant opportunity to be part of building something great!

Are you the right person for this job? Apply today! We review applications on an ongoing basis and the closing date for applications is 15th of March 2021.

If you have any questions, please contact Head of Rights and Production Victoria Vatanskaja, victoria.vatanskaja@bookbeat.com.

About us
In 2015, we began our journey towards the goal of offering Europe’s leading service for digital books. In 2021, a few years after our broad launch, BookBeat is used by almost five hundred thousand users every month. We are an ever-growing company within the Bonnier Group and all members who join our journey have the possibility to make an impact on our development, both in the short and long run.

Today Team BookBeat consists of over 100 curious and committed “doers”. Are you curious to become part of our team? Cool! The most important thing for those who join our journey is curiosity for our users, technology, marketing, design, books and of course us as an organization. This curiosity drives us to always test out new things in our service and to let our users show us if we’re on the right track.

Or, know someone who would be a perfect fit? Let them know!

When you work at BookBeat you will...

  • Work at a prime office location in the heart of Stockholm. If you join the team in Stockholm, you can enjoy free access to a full gym complete with a sauna, or borrow a bicycle from reception to speed off to your next meeting. However! Given the current situation, we're working from home right now. We are SO looking forward to hanging out with both our rookies and veterans at the office again, but until then - BookBeaters are true experts at adapting. We make sure everything runs smootly even when working remotely.
  • Have the opportunity to grow in your role and career. We believe in giving all of our employees the tools they need so that they can be great at what they do. This includes challenging and educational work assignments as well as opportunities for education
  • Enjoy our Friday afternoon mingles (or as we call it Beer O'Clock) and monthly company breakfasts. We see the importance of having a strong team and we organize fun events to make sure we all stay connected.
  • Enjoy very fun (we may be biased) work events. From Christmas parties with our colleagues at Bonnierförlagen to Road Map days ending in a company trip to the spa, we host and participate in all different kinds of fun activities.
  • Partake in Hack Days. Hack Days are a full day dedicated to exploring projects that you might not have time to do in your day to day work. In the past people have done everything from creating an app to be used for marketing campaigns to exploring how to integrate voice and machine learning into our existing product. We’ve even had employees use their hack day to bake sweet treats for the rest of the team.
  • Present at Friday Demo. Every Friday we hold a cross company demo where you have the opportunity to share what you've been working on that week. We believe in cross-functional work and having a weekly demo facilitates this by giving you the opportunity to brag a bit about your hard work and your latest accomplishments.
